Local Chef Unveils Bold New BBQ Sauce Featuring “Authentic” Galveston Bay Water

By Cole Slawson

A Houston chef is making waves in the culinary world with his latest creation—a BBQ sauce made with unfiltered Galveston Bay water.

“This isn’t just sauce; it’s an experience,” said Chef Dave “Smokey” Landry, who unveiled his “Bay-Q Sauce” at a local food festival. “People travel for barbecue, but I wanted to bring the Gulf straight to your plate.”

The sauce, described as having “a briny, complex depth” (and an alarming shimmer), has been met with mixed reactions. Some locals praise it as “authentically Houston”, while others worry about what exactly is floating in their brisket.

“I took one bite and immediately felt connected to the ocean,” said one brave customer. “Or maybe I just need to see a doctor.”

Health officials have yet to comment, but Landry insists the sauce is “as safe as a summer swim at Stewart Beach.” He’s already planning a full product line, including an extra smoky “Industrial Runoff” edition and a limited “Red Tide” spicy blend.

Would you try Bay-Q Sauce, or do you prefer your BBQ without a side of mystery?
