In a bold attempt to shed its reputation as Houston’s “less glamorous airport,” Hobby Airport has launched a new PR campaign: “Houston’s Little Airport That Could.” The slogan, inspired by the classic children’s story, promises to make travelers believe in the power of small, inconvenient miracles.

“We know Hobby’s not the flashiest,” said PR director Linda Terminal. “But we want people to embrace its… charm. Who doesn’t love a 40-minute TSA line to nowhere?”
As part of the rebrand, the airport is doubling down on its unique quirks. New marketing highlights include:
• Gate Roulette: Because your departure gate might change five times before boarding!
• The Hobby Express: A single food court that makes you long for a gas station burrito.
• The Family Atmosphere: Enjoy delays while surrounded by screaming kids and people FaceTiming without headphones!
“We may not be big, but we’re scrappy,” Terminal concluded. “If you can survive Hobby, you can survive anything.”
Travelers remain skeptical, but officials are confident their campaign will stick. After all, Houston loves an underdog story—or at least one with free WiFi.
